Mosey on over to Diabetes Mine and have a looksie at this post: NEWS FLASH: SF Design Firm Unveils the Diabetes "Charmr" in a nutshell, it's a design proposal for a funky little gadget that will make my (and 10% of diabetics world-wide (the approx. number of Type 1 diabetics)) life a lot easier. It does integrated monitoring and allows you to have much tighter control of blood sugars and insulin dosages.
